Dr Glen Aprile is a general and interventional cardiologist with a special interest in complex percutaneous intervention, and transcatheter aortic valve implantation. He completed his pharmacy and medical degrees at the University of Queensland before undertaking his residency and basic physician training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. He undertook advanced training in adult cardiology at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and Cairns Hospital before completing further subspecialty training in interventional cardiology. He has completed interventional fellowships both domestically at the Gold Coast University Hospital, and internationally at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in British Columbia, Canada where he focussed on complex coronary intervention and TAVI procedures.
Glen is passionate about delivering exceptional cardiac care and believes in open and clear communication with both his patients and referring doctors. He manages the full spectrum of adult cardiac conditions. In addition to his clinical work, Glen enjoys teaching and mentoring medical students and junior doctors. He has published in both national and international cardiology journals, and is a senior lecturer at Griffith University. He currently holds staff specialist positions at both the Gold Coast University Hospital, and Tweed Valley Hospital.
